Welcome! DMLive Hope Coaches will be posting 'The Call of the Night' that was the most impactful to them! Don't miss the opporuntity to read about relevant issues from America's teens and see how DMLive HopeCoaches are offering up hope!
______
Hey all at DMLIVE and Aglow!! I am really excited that we have partnered together to reach the youth of America! I encourage you if you haven’t yet become a Hope Coach, do it! This is one of the easiest ways you can reach youth right from your own home. If we don’t reach them, then something else will. We must begin to take ownership of our nation and the problems within it, we must be the hands and feet of Christ to this hurting generation. John Wesley said, “If you will give me one hundred men that love God and hate sin we could usher in the Kingdom in one generation.” I believe that God is calling us to reach the hurting youth of this nation and together we will begin to usher in the Kingdom. - Evangeline Weiner - Generations Director, Aglow International
Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It is such a familiar and comfortable verse. That's why I was startled when it's simple truth finally struck me down - I do not become big and strong in Christ, but rather He is big and strong for me - itty bitty tim, GREAT BIG JESUS! Man is that good news, because we have a great big disaster on our hands. Our kids, an entire generation are being
destroyed before our very eyes. If ever there was a divine appointment, it is the one that has taken place between Aglow and DMA. Our kids, our grandkids, our yet unborn kids - they are desperate, dying, hopeless. But God has promised we can rescue them. If you will allow my paraphrase of Philippians 4:13, "We itty bitty's can do all things through our GREAT BIG JESUS who strengthens us." Hallelujah! Let's do it.
- Tim Altman - CEO Dawson McAllister Association

Sunday, Sep 28, 2008 - 11:17:28 PM 25 year-old Aaron called tonight because his brother is mentally ill and he is greatly worried about him. We talked a long time about mental illness, but at the end of the conversation when I asked him about his spiritual beliefs, he said he was raised by wiccans and is a bit suspicious of religious beliefs. I told him about his heavenly Father's love for him, and about what Jesus did on the cross for him. He wasn't ready to receive Christ, but he wanted me to pray for his brother. He wept through the prayer, and I got him an e-mail mentor. My hope is that through his e-mail relationship, he will come to Christ. Pray for this tender-hearted young man that he comes to Christ and is comforted by the love of God in his life. - Kathy Sowers

Wednesday, May 28, 2008 - 12:04:14 PM In the past couple of months, our Partner, Truth Media Internet (TMI) has experienced exponential growth as teens are accepting our Hopeline Referrals to TMI for an email mentor. TMI says “Teens are pouring out their hearts and mentors are responding.. Online mentoring bridges the generational gap. We are thrilled to watch as teens are shown the hope Christ offers for their situation”.
Here is what some are saying:
“I have a problem with one of my friends and I’m really scared for her so I need someone to talk to.”
“I need a mentor more then anything. Nobody understands. “
Please pray that more volunteers will answer the call to be an email mentor! Last month The Hopeline referred over 600 teens to Truth Media. Also, please continue to pray for the launch of the new Mentor Center which will offer more services to teens and young adults!

Friday, May 23, 2008 - 4:08:51 PM My thanks to all of you who participated in our DMA day of prayer yesterday. God filled the house. It was a fabulous day. It came on the heels of three days of strategic planning for us. God has given our team a big vision for delivering hope to teenagers and young adults around the world. Our challenge is too few volunteers for the need, too small a staff for all the work, not enough dollars to do anywhere near what God has laid on our hearts. Which means prayer is the only way we can possibly accomplish this vision. So may God pour out his biggest blessing on you for your earnest and urgent prayer. -tim altman - tim Altman
Friday, May 23, 2008 - 10:50:59 AM Thanks to Robert Neyland our friend who has a great heart and vision of hope and healing for teens and young adults. Robert was awesome with the Teen Mania kids. Pray for he and his family as he re-settles in New Orleans. - kathy cook
Tuesday, May 20, 2008 - 10:12:51 AM Hi friends. It has been our privilege to begin to partner with you to offer resources to disordered eaters. Right now we are in the process of filing non-profit, and it seems that everything is coming against us - financial strain, lack of time to complete tasks, and spiritual warfare in my own personal life. If you could please lift my organization, FINDINGbalance, up in prayer, we definitely need it. We're bringing light to a dark place, and the enemy isn't happy about it. Thank you for your prayers. - Constance Rhodes

The internet carries years-old news stories that surface when they check - he needs employment. - Kathy Sowers
Tuesday, Apr 29, 2008 - 3:22:16 PM Thank you to Dawson and Thank you Bonnie for sharing!
My name is Bonnie Jensen. I’m a Hope Coach in Mpls and I got a call last night from a young man named Shane from Oraneburg SC. Shane said he spoke with Dawson on the air last night. He had called in concern for his friend and his girlfriend who they thought might be pregnant. I didn’t get the whole story…I explained to him that I didn’t hear the radio show myself. He just wanted you to know that after talking to you, she did a pregnancy test and she is not pregnant. He wanted to say thank you.
I would like to also take this opportunity to personally thank you for all that you do. I am so grateful for this amazing ministry and the opportunity that it has given me to serve. Last week I attended the steering committee meeting in Minneapolis and I am excited to see what God has planned. Being on the front lines like this has allowed me to see what can really happen when you position yourself to be used by God. I have been greatly blessed!

Tuesday, Mar 18, 2008 - 2:19:56 PM What an incredible blessing to be a part of the prayer conference call held on 3/16/08 at 8:30 p.m. with DM Live staff, coaches and others from all over the country who joined in. I encourage everyone to be a part of future prayer conference calls. As I write this, can you imagine how strong the prayer shield would become if there was a representative on the conference call line from each city where the show is broadcast? Voices petitioning the throne room of God for each city and for each caller from their particular area! We ask for it LORD!!! Lastly, I ask for your prayers for Glenda Fleming, U.S. Director and International Board of Director for Aglow as she ministers at the Ocean Springs Aglow Lighthouse on 3/25/08. Glenda will be sharing the significance of God’s call on our lives, both male and female. This end-time message communicates God’s purpose from the beginning (Genesis 1:26-28) to have a family, a people who would share His life, nature, spirit, vision, and purpose, and through whom He would express His life, power and glory in the earth. It would take male and female together to fulfill His plan and purpose. The restoration of this foundational relationship is necessary before the Church can be fully restored and fulfill its destiny to express God’s image and take dominion in the earth.
Please pray for the Fleming family in particular: Billy, Glenda, Leslie, Jamie, Jennifer & Greg!
Shalom and Blessings to All!

Tuesday, Mar 18, 2008 - 8:08:07 AM The Hope Line callers that I receive are never an accident. In two sessions, I have helped 3 people come back to the Church...and actually be excited about it! What an incredible blessing and opportunity this is! I also help people uncover WHY they are struggling with relationships which allows them to end unhealthy patterns from childhood or abuse. Anyone with a heart to see people set free from the darkness should train for and participate in receiving calls for the Hope Line! - Marie Boland
Monday, Mar 17, 2008 - 4:35:16 PM Word from the Lord given Fall of 2007, delivered by Cathy Dickenson.
TENNESSEE – A WATERED GARDEN
There is coming a great deluge of power in the earth. There will be an unleashing of power that will put my glory on display. Demonstrations of power that will produce great miracles, signs and wonders in the earth.
Reelfoot Lake is a sign. It was created by an eruption of power that interrupted natural order. A great shaking, great movement within the earth that caused the natural flow of the Mississippi River to be reversed. Natural order was disrupted and the water flowed in the opposite direction.
It could have been a destructive power, but instead it produced life and left a reservoir of water for all to partake of. The eagles find refuge there!
One day there was dry land, then suddenly a reservoir appeared. Reelfoot Lake has forever changed the landscape and created a sanctuary. Just as that area suddenly changed, so there will be many things and circumstances in our lives and in our region that will experience a glorious “suddenly”.
Reelfoot Lake, the only large lake in Tennessee not made by man, is a sign of what I desire to do in this region. My glory shall be revealed without the interference of those who would try to harness and control the outpouring of my glory.
This move, this display of my power, will seem to some as a wild, untamed move…but that does not mean chaos. Is there not a heavenly order? My Spirit shall brood over the area and direct the reshaping according to my plan. Fruitfulness will be the result.
Man has tried to harness the power of the natural waters through the building of dams. Man has created lakes that beautify this land but do not have the power to change the hearts of men. Now, it is my turn.
Did I not say to dig a well in the desert as you passed through so that others may partake of life-giving water? You are to leave a trail of goodness and mercy everywhere you go.
I am unleashing power…a violent shaking that will open up the dry places and provide a sanctuary in the middle of what once was a desert. People will be drawn to this place of refreshing where the beauty of holiness will abide. Eagles will arise. This land, the State of Tennessee, shall become a watered garden.

Monday, Mar 17, 2008 - 4:32:23 PM Work from the Lord on January 15, 2008. Delivered by Barbara Gibson.
Leave 2007 behind; all the "baggage" that has been accumulated in the past year; all memories and recollections of past incidences which have occurred in your life as well as others and the rest of the world. Move on with empty hands, hearts, and memories. Press on, Press on toward the "higher calling". Determine to "press on"; purpose to "press on" with no excuses, no hesitation, no delays, etc etc. Possess the land; take authority over all that is not of the Lord; all the schools, government agencies and public locations as well as businesses in the land where you dwell. Yes, it can be done. Prayers, words spoken with authority accomplishes more than mere man can imagine. I am a mighty God, capable of wonderous things with the simplest of effort by My people when they speak in the environment and atmosphere My Words with authority and Faith.
I was told by a prophet from OK that we must accumulate vegetables and fruits in the can or frozen in preparation for the next year because the growing season will be so adversely affected that there will be no crops in these areas. Also, a supply of water since the droubt will return in the Spring and Summer months.
Aglow will be doing a new thing. There are to be many testimonies since it is the testimony that draws people to the Lord as well as ministry by the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Be careful to pray and exercise authority over all demonic forces that would attempt to attend the meeting and render it useless and a waste of time. - Lebanon Aglow
Monday, Mar 17, 2008 - 4:28:51 PM Barbara Gibson spoke at our lighthouse in January. This is an email from one of the attendees that night.
Our prayers Monday night were answered - the desires of our heart - that our "encounters" would contain the former glory - well, God used you last night to set the pace for this 2008 year, hallelujah!
I know the spiritual environment was changed in Lebanon and Smith County by the Word of the Lord last night - the Word He spoke for Aglow International - right on and well received - individuals receving the prophetic mantle - WOW - THANK YOU LORD - so very important for His Truth to be released in this day - people healed, and set free from bondages.
What a night of glory, and through one of His own, Barbara Gibson.
We release honor to you woman of God, and thank you for standing IN HIM for hours last night, loving the people and ministering in your priestly and prophetic roles.

Tuesday, Mar 11, 2008 - 10:09:20 AM I started with the Hopeline back in January and have never regretted those nights. I talked with a lady over the chat and she just got a divorce, has a 14 year old daughter and really just needed encouragment. SHe was a christian and told me that friends have been praying for her. She was in an abusive relationship. I prayed with her over the chat, which was the first time to do that because others leave before hand. She left with a vision in her heart again and we both said good night. I know that was a divine appointment and we talked for about an hour via chat. Praise God, He is so faithful. - Elaine
Monday, Mar 10, 2008 - 3:11:25 PM Just want to "Praise God" and thank Him for the volunteers in this ministry. It is amazing how the Holy Spirit guides and leads each one to the call that they need to take. One of my coaches needed help last night with a call. The coach had already determined that the caller was "ready to follow Jesus" ,there were just some questions he couldn't answer - As I spoke with the caller he related how he was walking through his kitchen ,ready to go into a violent confrontation with his father when he heard Dawson say..."It doesn't have to be this way, you can change your circumstances tonight with a phone call"....the caller called,Our coach was obedient ,and another soul entered the Kingdom of Heaven! This ministry IS changing lives! Thanks Dawson ,for all you do!....robert neyland - robert Neyland
Tuesday, Mar 4, 2008 - 11:19:52 PM Tonight was my first experience of taking calls as a remote HopeLine coach. I must admit, I was somewhat apprehensive - nervous about "not doing it right" the first time. But - the line rang, I took a breath, answered the call, and participated in a rewarding conversation that felt completely natural. I wasn't great at listening to the caller and paying attention to a computer screen at the same time, so I chose listening. I know I'll get better at coordinating those 2 skills with practice. What a privilege to do this :-) Looking forward to next week's session. - Kathy Sowers
Wednesday, Feb 27, 2008 - 12:46:44 PM First of all, Praise God that there is hope and help for all of us who are hurting through the mighty power of prayer.
I noticed that many of the prayer requests included: autism, cancers, substance abuse, peer pressure, financial troubles, fears, mental disorders, depression, suicidal ideation, addictions, substance abuse, cutting, discouragement, grief, loss, and much more.
I am quite sure there are answers to all of these issues. My prayer is that we would all seek the Healer to become well in spirit, body, mind, and soul for the Glory of His Kingdom. God help us. Our nation is in desperate need of Your Mercy and Grace. Great Physician come. - Candice Leontyuk
Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 - 5:40:10 PM Prayers are requested for Lauren from TN. She is dating a relapsing addict, just one year after divorcing her husband for his drug problem. She has custody of their children 1&3, and needs our prayers to make her decisions first and foremost for the good of her children. She is a Christian, and very much understands the power of a beleiver's prayers'. - Mike Davelaar
Tuesday, Feb 19, 2008 - 12:34:51 AM Please pray for the HopeLine and the new volunteers that are starting. Please pray that the Lord will guide me as I train and encourage new volunteers to take that first call. I praise the Lord for bringing up volunteers to help. There are so many teens searching to fill that emptyness that can be filled through the Lord and his love. I praise you Jesus for the caring volunteers that are willing to the time to fill this void by professing your word at the HopeLine.
"We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thessalonians 1:2,3 - Terri Henry
Saturday, Feb 16, 2008 - 9:24:44 PM Little Cole is 9 years old (friend of ours child) and has dealt with a great many medical issues in his life. Last week he underwent surgery for a tumor at the base of his brain praising the LORD that was NOT cancer-it was a JPA Tumor, however he has now slipped into a vegetive state on account of Posterior Fossa Syndrome. The outlook from the doctors is not a good one. Right now he’s unable to respond to any verbal commands. Ken begins his fourth week with one more week to go on this portion of this journey. He will have to undergo chemo again after surgery, but we are so thankful that we’ve made it this far, we know it is the prayers of those who have been praying for him that have made this possible and with only a few side effects!! Glory to God!
Please continue to pray for Ken’s health,Spiritual health and mental health-he does become discouraged at times. Please also pray over our children who are dealing with their worries and fears and our financial situation-its getting difficult, but GOD continues to meet our needs. Our van sprang a leak last week, but we’re praying that it’ll be up and running by Wednesday of this coming week, again we praise the Lord. We will be meeting with surgeons in the coming weeks, pray that we will have wisdom and discernment as we meet with them-knowing clearly which one is the one the LORD has chosen.
Thank you for your continued prayers! - darlene
Wednesday, Jan 30, 2008 - 7:57:32 PM Woman emaied asking for resources for her son Matthew. Please pray that he connects with the resources we provided. Here is what Debbie, the mother wrote:
I'm writing on behalf of my 22 year old son who is married with 3 children and is addicted to drugs. He is in a substance abuse center right now but they will only keep him very temporarily and offer no real solution except prescription drugs. Can you refer me to any Christian long-term centers that we could get him into?
Debbie - Howard
Friday, Jan 25, 2008 - 9:54:39 AM Praising the Lord for 2 weeks down!
We are so thankful for your continued prayerful support, Heaven only knows the arrows we’ve been spared! Thank You and bless you!
Ken continues his treatments for the next five weeks-they added one on account of the mass being larger then first thought. The side effects to his treatments (radiation and the 2 chem drugs) has been minimal and we thank that Lord for that!! He’s had some sickness, but has the determination that has much as it going to fight him, he’s going to fight back just as hard and he knows with Christ on his side he WILL have victory!! Glory to God!
Please continue to pray for his complete healing, his mental health (he becomes scared at times-devil I’m sure), finances are getting tight, but God continues to meet our needs-continue to pray that we will trust in Him-walking by faith and not by sight! Glory to GOD! Safe trips to the cancer clinic (its 100 miles a day-five days a week) and our trusty van will continue to run flawlessly! For myself to remain the encourager, its difficult balancing everything at times, but it seems God is always there to strengthen me...what an awesome loving Father we have!
We know we have so much to be thankful for and one of them is of course your continued prayerful support! What a blessing!
Thank you and praying always for you also!

Friday, Jan 11, 2008 - 7:21:40 AM Thank you to Kathy for reminding me about aglow!
I wanted to give just a quick update on Ken’s cancer, it is rectal cancer (he’s 44 years old) and it is in stage three (there are only four stages to rectal cancer) Today we are going back to the cities to have his port catheter surgery, the port will be placed in his chest and deliver to him his chemo treatments which will begin on Monday the 14th along with his radiation. Please be in prayer that today’s surgery would go smoothly and that no infection would set in (that is the greatest risk of the implanting) Also pray for Ken’s attitude to remain positive throughout this ordeal, a ‘friend’ called and told him all the horrible side effects that another ‘friend’ had gone through so satan is attacking him with those ideas of how sick he’s going to be with chemo...
His treatments (6 wks/five days a week) we pray will be successful in removing the cancer from his body, shrinking the size of the tumor and that the removal of the tumors would be successful so much so that the colon would be able to be reattached with success.
Your continued prayerful support means so much, thank you! Pray also for our vehicle that it would continue to be faithful :)
Seems its all happening so fast, lessons of love and life are being learned daily and we know we are held tightly by the Masters hand. Again, thank you for your prayers,
Darlene

Friday, Jan 4, 2008 - 12:27:28 AM We don't always know immediately, the fruits of how God works through the calls but then there are those times when you truly sense how God is using the Hope Line to help hurting teens and their families. I had one such call tonight, actually two calls from the same household.
A young girl, Nicole Wise, called to talk about the death of her father on Christmas day, following a battle with cancer. He was sent home on Christmas Eve and told that he would live two or three months. When the youngest of three daughters went to awake him on Christmas morning, he was dead. Nicole has not been able to cry. She fears showing weakness in front of her family and doesn't want to make them sad. During the call, she shared that she discovered that her 14 year old sister had started cutting, following the death of their dad. I talked to Nicole about healthy grief, the need to cry, express her emotions, lean on God day by day, etc. and that she needed to talk to her mom about her sister. She seemed to be better after our conversation.
A few minutes later, there was a call from the same number. The caller identified herself as Ashley and said that she knew her sister Nicole had been talking to someone about "daddy", so she hit redial to see who it was. She too, began to talk about the death of her father and her anger at her sister because Nicole was not crying. She then confessed that she had started cutting. We talked about our bodies being the temples of God and she agreed that cutting is not pleasing to God.
I talked to her about grief and suggested that she talk to her mom about the cutting. She asked me if I would talk to her mom and tell her. She had her mom come to the phone and after explaining what the Hope Line is, shared that her daughter wanted me to tell her about her cutting. While at first, she seemed shocked, the more we talked, the easier, the news seemed to get. I talked with her about the family getting help with their grief and the need to openly express their feelings and for Ashley to get the help she needs. The mother is going to talk to their pastor and have him meet with them.
I just wanted to share what I felt was a success story; in two calls, an entire family was ministered to, through the Hope Line.

Sunday, Dec 30, 2007 - 10:16:33 PM Thank you so much AGLOW for partnering with us to reach out and help bring REAL hope to teenagers and young adults. I have been blessed to be able to answer the Hopeline the last month or so, for a few hours a week. I am amazed at how each person I have talked with is so thankful that the hopeline is around to listen to them and help them. Each person has also seemed so receptive to be prayed for and hear some Godly wisdom and counsel. I also feel so humbled and thankful that God has chosen me to be a part of this awesome ministry. I feel like we really are making a difference. - Rachel Cardinal
Monday, Dec 24, 2007 - 1:51:33 AM Johnny from Haleyville, AL lost his daughter to a house fire a year ago and has been haunted by the loss. He loves the Lord and needs His strength right now, as well as your prayers. He has some mental disabilities and has felt suicidal in recent times. - Mark Gries
Sunday, Dec 23, 2007 - 11:41:14 PM I received two praise reports tonight!
Morgan from PA called to say that she has been sober for 2 months and 7 days, and it all started with a call to the hopeline in May. The lady that she talked to prayed with her and it took several month for the Spirit to work, but it all started with a call to the Hopeline.
Michelle from OK called to say that she is doing great, and that the information she received from the Focus on the family contact lined up counseling for her. Her relationship with the guy that she is dating is better because of the boundries that she has set up, and this too started when the person at the Hopeline convicted her heart in love and prayed with her. She called the lady that she talked to her "Hopeline Angel". - Mike Davelaar

Yes, it is Monday afternoon and time to sit and write my e-mail about last night at the Hopeline. Last night is going to be tough to beat… where to start?
I will start with Nick, the 21 year old hindu who called about what to do with his business troubles and through tears, realized that his one million hindu gods do not answer back when he prays, nor will his works give him a better afterlife? He renounced hinduism and called out to Jesus, the one who DOES answer back when we pray… Jeremiah 33:3, “'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (NKJV) Nick is a child of God today…Jim Tegelhutter - MN Call Center Manager
